Marketing Masters

Bitopia have been providing IT Support and Consultancy to Marketing Masters since 2007. In this time Marketing Masters have more than doubled in size with the nature of the business dictating that each new member of staff requires their own computer and telephone. When Bitopia first became involved with Marketing Masters it was clear that the business was being driven in a direction that would make best use of cutting edge technology to maximise its competitive edge. Unfortunately the reality of being the first to try new technology is that you can be the first to experience some of the issues that invariably go along with new releases of complex systems.

Having worked with 3 previous IT Service Providers, Marketing Masters had been dissatisfied with the frequency of business disrupting issues and the unreliable response times by previous vendors. Our approach was to fully evaluate all the systems the business had in operation and to work with Peter Price the Managing Director to rationalise their systems and set out a path to deliver the reliability and performance that the business demanded, without compromising on the benefits of their investment in leading edge technology. Some aspects of this were simply resolved using best practice, such as managing the roll-out of software updates and patches, whilst other issues have been resolved by replacing systems such as their VoIP telephony system with a more established and better supported system. Bitopia also reconfigured a server to run Microsoft Exchange 2007 and bring the management of Marketing Masters' email systems in house and under our control. This has delivered many benefits including integration with their customers' Outlook calendars. This is a key benefit to one of their main activities of arranging appointments for sales professionals in the pharmaceutical sector. None of Marketing Masters' competitors have this capability.

Bitopia continue to provide IT Consultancy and Support to Marketing Masters, pro-actively monitoring their core business systems to prevent any business disruption wherever possible. We are currently planning the upgrade of their main server to replace the existing server with one that is more resilient by design, ensuring the continued reliability of their core business systems.
